why not insulin?
Insulin has gotten such a bad rap. Insulin for diabetics has been used as a threat by doctors and is thought of as a punishment. Insulin is also thought of as if your using it you have "failed" somehow in managing your diabetes. Insulin treatment is thought to hurt and make you fat. Through out the years insulin has gotten a bad reputation as a last resort medication. Also thought of as if your using insulin you have really "bad" diabetes. All these stereotypes are false! Insulin is a great defense in keeping your blood sugar close to normal range. When I got put on insulin I was afraid of all these things I mentioned above. This could not be farther from the truth. After I started insulin I immediately felt better. I got more energy, my fatigue was lifted. Also I was amazed at how truly painless it was to be on insulin! I would like to dispel the negativity associated with insulin therapy. Keep an open mind and give it a try! You also will be amazed on how much better it will make you feel as a diabetic. If you are having trouble controlling your blood sugar levels it might be time to ask your doctor if insulin is right for you. My doctor made the choice for me and I'm glad he did! I feel better than I've felt in years! So don't be afraid of all the negative hype out there about insulin. I assure you its farthest from the truth! So why not insulin? You might be surprised give it a chance! You will feel so much better and be glad you did.
